I got a good night's sleep last night and am feeling much, much better today. To use a conceit usually shared with my roommate Tim, Yo no soy marinero; soy capitan.

Well golly gee, in yesterday's contest of Bob Dylan or Weird Al?, everybody got it right. Kudos to [info]penlyon for catching the palindromatic quality of the Weird Al song, the palindromatically-named "Bob." The Dylan verse is from "Visions of Johanna," one of my favorite songs ever written (and yes, ye Dylan disparagers, the "Jeeze, I can't find my knees" line probably sounds exactly how you imagine it sounding). Per [info]insidian's request, the second round goes

First Set
Try to run, but my feet have been nailed to the floor
Then a midget pushes me through a revolving door
And I'm back in the very same place I was before

Second Set
The waitress he was handsome
He wore a powder blue cape
I ordered some suzette, I said
"Could you please make that crepe"

Actually, I got it wrong yesterday.
Am loser. Also not a huge follower of either musician, though I appreciate their respective musics.

But this is great.

Since the second set mentions food, I will say that one is Al's.
And the first set is Bob's.

Watch me be horribly, horribly wrong.

Oh, I'm watching! The first is very much vintage Al from his Even Worse CD.

MMMMMM, see I'm ideal because I like both passably well, so I have little knowledge of lyrics...
The first is Dylan, second Al?

Now, see, I'm going to be different and say the first is Al and the second is Bob. I can much more see Bob mentioning crepes than midgets, but maybe I am wrong. Let me know.

Second set is Bob, from Bringing It All Back Home. I have a hard time with titles, but I think this is "Bob Dylan's 115th Dream."

Er, should I stop answering these? If you cut-tag the lyrics, you can see the comments before you reply, so maybe I shouldn't answer, at least like this...

The first is Weird Al, Stuck in a Closet with Vanna White.

The second set is from the first Bob Dylan song I ever liked. I got "Bringing It All Back Home" as a gift from my hippie uncle. It took me a year to like it. I'm glad I gave it several second chances. The first I don't recognize, though through process of elimination, it must be Weird Al, although it does sound a bit like "Ballad of a Thin Man."
